Amaris and Aldo (Plus One) | Aguirre Springs Family-Turned-Engagement Session

I feel like I’m constantly saying “This was my favorite session!!”

Is it going to be one of those The Boy Who Cried Wolf situations, where no one will believe me if I don’t stop shouting about how incredible the latest session was?? I hope not, because DANG. I don’t think I can help it, when I get to shoot couples, families, places and light like this.

Is it going to be one of those The Boy Who Cried Wolf situations, where no one will believe me if I don’t stop shouting about how incredible the latest session was?? I hope not, because DANG. I don’t think I can help it, when I get to shoot couples, families, places and light like this:

Amaris and Aldo run a microblading business together on the East Side of El Paso. Amaris found me on Instagram through one of my other clients, and reached out to see if I could travel to shoot her son’s One Year Old photos, as well as some family portraits! We decided we’d meet in the middle in Las Cruces, and Aguirre Springs, along with the imposing Organ Mountains, turned out to be the perfect spot for this little family of three!

Their outfit choices were totally on-point–I loved how they went together without being overly ‘matchy’ and color coordinated. And little A had on suspenders. You have to see, he was so cute! I love a little man in suspenders. 🙂

I’m always so grateful when clients come prepared to trust me and have a good time! I ask clients to do some pretty unconventional things during our sessions together but when they roll with it, they have a great time–well, we all do–AND, most importantly, I’m able to capture natural expressions and candid moments. That’s the best.

We started with pictures of Little A, and then spent the rest of our time together chasing that gorgeous New Mexico light, playing games and ultimately, spending the last 15 minutes on creating some stunning engagement photos for Amaris and Aldo. They’re getting married in December, and said they didn’t have any pictures of themselves, so I couldn’t pass that up!

Amaris and Aldo, thanks for traveling so far to come hang out with me for the evening! I had such a great time, and am so glad to know you and your little guy. ❤️

XO, Erin
