I can’t believe how fast this year went, and subconsciously, I’ve been gauging it by THIS WEDDING–because Ariana booked me pretty much an exact 12 months before her wedding date!

I knew the moment I first spoke to Ari over the phone that we’d be a great fit! She is bubbly and positive, personable and super sweet. I felt an instant connection to her! At Ariana and Chris’s engagement session last fall, it was clear that Ari’s infectious personality attracts people to her like a magnet–especially Chris. 🙂 Since then, I’ve taken pictures for a few of her co-workers, and literally everyone I meet who knows her talks about her the exact same way–with love and affection, mentioning how sweet and positive she is.

Ariana and Chris’s early fall wedding at NAN Ranch was such a beautiful day, filled with love and connection. The weather could not have been more perfect–clear skies, luke-warm temps, and only a hint of a gentle breeze. NAN Ranch is such a gorgeous location! Between the dreamy weather and the beautiful surroundings, I kept trying to contrive reasons to bring my family back for a stay, soon!

Ari’s bridesmaids were completely devoted to her, and it didn’t take much to make their eyes well up with happy tears. Seeing Ariana in her wedding dress made it all so real! They love this sweet friend of theirs, and it was an honor to see that affection up close and personal. Those are the kind of friends every woman hopes for!

Chris and Ari chose to have a First Look. I love that they read letters to each other during that time! There was something really special about them speaking from the heart to just each other, only a short time before they were married.

After a beautiful ceremony, performed by their good friend, I whisked these two away for a few sunset portraits in that glowy September light! Ohhhh, Golden Hour. It makes my heart sing! These two were on board with all my ideas, and even let me squeeze in an epic wide shot at the very end, that I’d been visualizing since scouting the day before. I love the way it turned out!

Ariana and Chris, it has been such a pleasure to get to know you over the last year! And it was an incredible honor to be the one behind the camera at your wedding. Thank you so much for inviting me along and allowing me to play a small part. I can’t wait to get your wedding album to you, filled with these beautiful and cherished moments!
