Virginia Wedding Photographer |

Back at the beginning of December, I traveled to Richmond, Virginia for a photography event. It’s something I’d been planning on for an entire year, the end result of a photography business course I’d taken!

What made the trip even more exciting and special is the fact that one of my dearest photographer friends, who lives in Ohio, was also going to be attending, and it gave us the perfect opportunity to hang out in real life (did I mention that we’d never met in person before?!) AND shoot together! It was the best experience, a total highlight of 2019! Belinda and I have been each other’s ‘virtual co-workers’ for the past two years, and it was the best thing ever to get to give that girl a hug in real life!

Belinda and I started planning this styled shoot in October or November (really, not that long after I finished this one!). There were specific things each of us were hoping to get out of it, and we ended up being thrilled with the way it turned out! The team of vendors and models that pulled together with us was amazing! They were so enthusiastic and really poured themselves into our project and vision.

Favorite elements to watch out for:

-The ivory dinner jacket and velvet shoes that were non-negotiable, in our eyes.
-The incredible Martina Liana dress that was made for spins and twirls.
-The organic design of Rosewood Floral Designs’ delicate and timeless bouquet.
